A dedicated IP for game connections
MaximusHost uses UDP ports 8766, 9700, and 27016 for Sons of the Forest networking. A dedicated IP gives your server an address for these connections; it supports networking, not extra RAM or CPU.

Choose from 8–16 GB RAM and 2–8 vCPU. We recommend 8–16 GB RAM and 4–6 vCPU as a starting point, then checking resource use during your group’s sessions.
Create a world, choose a save slot, or upload a zipped save. Stop the server before switching or changing a world, and confirm the right save is active before your group rejoins.
Make an owner backup before a major world or settings change. World controls depend on ownership and the permissions you grant to collaborators.
See a Standard-account estimate in credits based on RAM, CPU, storage, and expected running time. If your game needs a dedicated IP, its estimated charge is included too. Stopped-server charges can vary by account, including whether a dedicated IP remains assigned. Review Billing and Credits for details. Setup also shows the one-time 50-credit server creation fee.

Yes. Customize the settings shown in your Sons of the Forest dashboard. Make one change at a time and test it with your group.
Create an owner backup before important world or settings changes. The Worlds tools are permission-controlled, so invite collaborators with only the access they need.
Your estimate includes the IP charge when applicable. Whether it remains billable while the server is stopped depends on your account and whether the allocation remains assigned. See Billing and Credits for details.
