Maximus Host uses a credit‑based billing system, allowing you to pay only for the resources you consume. Understanding how credits work will help you manage your budget and avoid unexpected charges.

How Credits Work

• Free credits on sign‑up – new users receive 1,000 credits when they create an account. This allows you to experiment with servers before adding funds.
• Conversion rate – each credit is worth US $0.001. A $5 top‑up adds 5 000 credits to your balance.
• Server creation fee – deploying a new server incurs a one‑time charge of 50 credits.
• Running usage – you are billed per minute for CPU and RAM. Storage is not added to the running rate. An assigned, billable dedicated IP adds up to 3,000 credits per 30 days.
• Stopped servers – storage is billed at 0.2 credits per GB per day. A dedicated IP is billed only while it remains assigned and chargeable: runtime-leased Standard IPs are released on stop, Premium reservations remain billed, and Founder stopped-server storage/IP charges are waived.
• Scheduling discounts – use automated schedules to stop your server when nobody is playing. This reduces your cost and helps stretch your credits.
• Non‑refundable – credits are virtual and cannot be exchanged for money. All sales are final.

Subscription Plans

• Premium includes one designated usage-free server for each early-access game while the subscription is active. Founder accounts receive the same early-access beta slot entitlement. The standard 50-credit creation fee still applies.
• Premium recurring subscriptions renew until canceled, and no prorated refunds are offered.

Adding Credits

• Links to purchase additional credits are found on your 'my servers' page as well as any server creation page.
• Choose a top‑up amount (credits are purchased in $5 increments). Payments are processed via SureCart and Stripe.
• Confirm your purchase. Remember, all sales are final.
• Your new credit balance will appear immediately. Use it to create or run servers.

Monitoring Usage

• Use the server management page to monitor real‑time CPU and RAM usage and estimate credit consumption.
• Set up low balance reminders in your account settings so you’re notified before your credits run out.

Founder Discount

• Users who purchase Founder status receive a 15% discount on credit usage once the beta period ends. During Founders Beta, regular running servers use the normal CPU/RAM and active dedicated-IP rates; stopped-server storage and IP charges are waived.

Good to Know

• Credits are non‑transferable and may only be used within your account.
• Chargebacks may result in account suspension.
• Backup responsibility – unless explicitly included in your plan, backups are your responsibility.
