AI Diagnostics
Learn how AI Diagnostics reviews available server health information and what to expect from a check.
AI Diagnostics reviews a limited set of available server health information to help identify likely issues. It explains its findings and suggests customer-safe next steps. It is read-only: running a check does not automatically make changes to your server.
How to run a check
1. Open one of your servers.
2. Select AI Diagnostics.
3. Click Check server.
4. Review the result:
- Summary and Severity
- Confidence
- Evidence observed
- Findings
- Recommended next steps
- Support request ID
Recommended next steps are suggestions for you to review. AI Diagnostics does not carry them out for you.
What AI Diagnostics can inspect
A check may use a selection of bounded, structured information such as:
- The server's current runtime state and provisioning state.
- Recent CPU and memory readings and resource allocation.
- Recent structured server incidents and basic server activity.
- When relevant and available, game resource requirements, dedicated network readiness, recent startup or log error signals, mod or plugin status summaries, and backup status.
The evidence available depends on the server, whether recent telemetry or history exists, the game, and the signed-in user's Server Team permissions. A check may not include every category.
Server Team permissions
Server owners can run AI Diagnostics on their servers. An active Server Team member can use it on a server they are authorized to access.
For Server Team members, the information used by a check follows the permissions on that server:
- View Resources, Manage Resources, or View console and files allows resource readings to be included.
- View console and files allows incidents and permitted recent log or startup error signals to be included.
- Active team members can have recent basic server activity included.
- Edit files allows mod or plugin status summaries and related startup component information to be included when available.
- Manage backups allows backup status to be included when available.
If a permission or source data is unavailable, that evidence may be omitted. Ask the server owner to update your Server Team access if you need access to more of the server's information.
Privacy and safety
AI Diagnostics receives a limited diagnostic view for the selected server, rather than unrestricted access to your account or server. The check does not ask for your account password or Customer API bearer token, and does not use these to run. Its structured diagnostic view has no fields for billing information, your full customer profile, raw credentials, or arbitrary request metadata.
It does not browse arbitrary server files, general filesystem paths, or unrestricted console history. Some checks may use a small amount of recent log or startup error information when your permissions allow it. Those signals are filtered and sensitive-looking values are redacted before use; brief relevant error text may still appear in the diagnostic evidence.
Running AI Diagnostics does not automatically make changes to the server. Review any recommended next steps and decide what to do.
Support request ID
If the diagnosis does not resolve the issue, include the Support request ID when contacting MaximusHost support. It helps support reference that diagnostic attempt. The ID is a reference for the check; it is not a diagnosis or a server access credential.
Limitations and troubleshooting
- A healthy result means no issue was identified from the bounded evidence available to that check. It does not guarantee that no problem exists.
- Evidence may be missing because a permission is unavailable or recent telemetry and history are not available.
- AI Diagnostics may report that evidence is insufficient or return an incomplete result instead of guessing.
- If the diagnostic service is temporarily unavailable, try again later. If the issue continues, contact MaximusHost support and include the Support request ID if one is shown.
