MaximusHost Wiki

Guides and documentation for getting the most out of your servers.

Schedule

The Schedules tab allows you to automate common server actions at specific times.

This page is available for supported MaximusHost game servers.

Use schedules to automatically start, stop, restart, or back up your server without manual action.

What Schedules Can Do

Common automated actions include:

  • Start the server
  • Stop the server
  • Restart the server
  • Create a backup

This helps save time and keeps your server running on a routine.

Existing Schedules

Saved schedules appear as cards on the page.

Each card typically shows:

  • Day of week
  • Time
  • Action type

Example:

  • Monday — 06:00 AM — Stop
  • Tuesday — 02:00 AM — Backup
  • Friday — 04:00 PM — Start
  • Saturday — 02:00 AM — Restart

Action Colors

Schedules may use colored labels for quick identification.

Examples:

  • Green = Start
  • Orange = Stop
  • Purple = Restart
  • Blue = Backup

Colors may change over time.

Edit a Schedule

Click Edit on any schedule card to modify:

  • Day
  • Time
  • Action type

Use this when changing your routine.

Delete a Schedule

Click Delete to permanently remove a schedule.

Use caution—deleted schedules stop running immediately.

Add a New Schedule

Use the form at the bottom of the page.

  1. Select a day of the week
  2. Choose a time
  3. Select an action
  4. Click Add Schedule

Time Format

Schedules use local account time depending on your computer/browser configuration.

If an action runs at the wrong hour, check your timezone settings.

Recommended Uses

Daily Auto Start

Start your server before players usually join.

Example:

  • Friday 4:00 PM Start

Overnight Shutdown

Stop the server when no one is playing.

Example:

  • Daily 2:00 AM Stop

Weekly Restart

Useful for long-running servers.

Example:

  • Tuesday 5:00 AM Restart

Automatic Backups

Protect your world regularly.

Example:

  • Friday 5:00 AM Backup

Important Notes

  • Scheduled actions run automatically.
  • The server should remain active in your account.
  • Restart schedules briefly disconnect players.
  • Backup duration depends on world size.

Troubleshooting

Schedule did not run

Check:

  • Correct day selected
  • Correct time selected
  • Correct timezone
  • Server still exists and is active

Server restarted while players were online

Review restart schedules and move them to off-hours.

No recent backups found

Verify backup schedules still exist and storage space is available.

Tips

  • Use backups before updates or mod changes.
  • Schedule restarts during low activity hours.
  • Combine Start + Stop schedules to save credits.
  • Review schedules occasionally so old routines do not remain active.
  • Open a support ticket and provide your server ID if your schedule is not working properly.
