Server Management
The Server Management Page is the main control center for an individual MaximusHost server.
From this page you can monitor status, change settings, manage files, create backups, and control power actions.
Page Header
At the top of the page you will typically see:
Server Name
Example:
My Game Server
This helps identify which server you are managing.
Server Address
Example:
mine.maximushost.com
Use this address to connect to the server when applicable.
Server Status Panel
Located in the top-right area of the page.
This panel shows the current server state and available power controls.
Statuses include:
- Active
- Inactive
Depending on current status, available buttons may include:
- Start
- Stop
- Restart
Power Controls
Start
Turns the server on.
Use when players are ready to join.
Stop
Gracefully shuts down the server.
Use before file edits, world changes, or maintenance.
Restart
Stops then starts the server.
Useful after:
- Property changes
- Mod installs
- File edits
- Updates
- Troubleshooting
Left Navigation Menu
The left sidebar contains management tabs for the server.
Available tabs may vary by game type.
Common examples include:
- Overview
- Console
- Resources
- Schedule
- Backups
- Files
- Sharing
- Credits
- Remove
Game-Specific Tabs
Some tabs only appear for supported server types.
Examples:
- Mods for supported mod-enabled games
- Worlds for games supporting multiple save worlds
- Specialized config tabs for certain games
Main Content Area
The center/right portion of the page displays the currently selected tab.
Examples:
- Overview metrics
- Console logs
- File manager
- Backup list
- Resource sliders
- World management
Important: Pending Saves
When changes are submitted, they must finish saving before additional actions can be performed.
During this time:
- A blur overlay may appear over the page
- Buttons may be temporarily disabled
- Inputs may be locked
Wait for saving to complete before:
- Clicking other tabs
- Restarting
- Starting/stopping
- Submitting more changes
This helps prevent conflicting actions or partial saves.
Recommended Workflow
Configuration Change
- Open the desired tab
- Make edits
- Save changes
- Wait for completion
- Restart server if needed
Maintenance
- Stop server
- Perform file/world changes
- Start server

- Review Console tab
- Check Resources tab
- Restore backup if needed

Buttons not responding
Likely causes:
- Save still in progress
- Server already changing state
- Temporary connection delay
Wait a moment and try again. If this persists, submit a support ticket or contact us on discord.
Blur overlay remains too long
Wait for operation to complete. If this persists, submit a support ticket or contact us on discord.
Wrong server selected
Check the server name in the header before making changes.
Tips
- Always confirm the server name first.
- Use Stop before risky changes.
- Restart after major config changes.
- Wait for saves to finish before clicking elsewhere.
- Use the sidebar tabs as your main workflow.
