Manage Your Project Zomboid Server
Find the Project Zomboid controls available in MaximusHost for settings, Workshop items, backups, and server output.
Open My Servers and select your Project Zomboid server to reach its management page. You can manage supported settings, Steam Workshop items, backups, and server output from your browser.
Start, stop, and restart
Use the server actions on its My Servers card to choose Start, Stop, or Restart. A stopped server keeps its saved world, but storage charges may still apply.
Choose a management area
- Settings contains the current server browser, access, and gameplay controls. See Project Zomboid settings and sandbox options.
- Mods manages Steam Workshop items. This workflow is experimental; read Manage Project Zomboid Workshop mods before changing an established world.
- Backups lets you create, download, and restore server backups. See Back up and restore a Project Zomboid server.
- Players shows confirmed online sessions, known players, recent sessions, and playtime. When available and permitted, player actions include kick, ban, and unban; administrator changes are owner-only. Player activity is based on confirmed game events, so it may not be a perfect live count.
- Schedule lets the owner plan start and stop times or enable idle auto-shutdown after a chosen empty period. If player count cannot be verified, the server will not be stopped automatically. Storage charges may continue while stopped.
- Console opens the Console & Logs panel, where you can review startup messages and errors when you troubleshoot.
